No, not for myself.
My boss here has got a friend. That friend has recently got a PlayStation (yup, the old PS1) and has been asking him what games would be good for his six year old son to play... As you can imagine, I ended up being the one to find some suitable ones... Any reccomendations? |
Six-year-old? Hmmm. Was going to say Vigilante 8 before I saw that :)
|
Crash bandicoot, Spyro the dragon, Rayman, soccer games...
|
^Exactly
|

I Was jung too, And i can Say, it SUCKED Only begin allowed to Play such........Gayish (Sorry, but I Could'nt find another way to Explain) Stuff! :not_ok: Give him A Computer! He Can't do anything More Wrong than Formating the Harddrive. :max: Or, at Least give his Some Shooters, or Flightsims, or...........Stuff für Men! :ok: But Maybe it's just me, i Was always more advanced than All the Other Individuums of the Same Age. |
The "Hugo" series. They're perfect for 6-year-olds. In fact, they only appeal to 6-year-olds.
Besides from that, the ones Tulac mentioned. Go with the Fifa series. |

Look, they just demanded me to find a list of what games would be suitable for that age and that hardware platform. Not like I have any damn choice.

@Topic: I'm not quite sure, I never owned a PS and most of the suitable games are already posted, but if he likes hard games he could try the Megaman X series. Dunno if they're suitable for 6-year old children though. Megaman X is kind of the dark side of the Megaman games afterall ^_^ |
wigalente or Twisted metal :kosta:

Command and Conquer - All of em
Silent Hill - Its too good Invasion from Beyond - Very Fun game Final Fantasy all of em - awsome game Tony Hawk |
For a six year old?
No Final Fantasy games, they've got too much dialouge and the combat is piss poor for small kids. I suggest Crash Bandicoot, and its Kart variant. Any of the Ape Escape games are incredible. Tomb Raider is also fun, it captivated me when I was around seven or so. Rayman 2 is really fun, and so is Gex the Gecko, as long as it is the first one. Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo is really fun, and it's great for the brain. The Medal Of Honor games aren't bad either, but they are shooters (and yes, there are ones for the Playstation) Crash Bandicoot Warped is good with the others. Parappa the Rappa that one is awesome, the music is just great and it's unforgettable. Any of the Madden games for the PSX were also great sports titles. Wipeout XL is a really fast paced cool racing game. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater is really damn fun also. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is great for anyone. I can't get anymore off the top of my head, but those are all awesome titles, especially for that age. |
Yeah, that's what I meant about Final Fantasy.
But Tony Hawk is a great idea. Get him part 4, it's the best one. |
I recommend that you try to get Final Fantasy Tactics. Arguably the best game ever made for the PS. However, maybe not a good choice for a 6 year olds as it's way more strategy centered than anything else...
|
I Played Strategie Games With 6.............
|
We get it, you're special. Now please post something constructive.
----------------------- I would say Final Fantasy Tactics is a great game, but a 6-year-old is a little too young. Wait 2 years. I can only recommend Harvest Moon. It's great for little kids. |
Hmm.. what did I play as a little kid.. Mostly computer games, simulation and strategy at that.
(I remember the first time I played Return To Castle Wolfenstein, all those years back.. damn those zombies were scary!) |
There is this game wher you play a crocodile and you save little furry creatures. Yeah, I reccomend that. Although I have no clue what it's called.
|
Awww I came here to suggest a few great games... but you guys got most of em. :ranting: :bleh: Oh well, ill add to bobbin by saying CROC! umm theres legend of the gobbos, and theres a second one that was made but i dunno the exact name of that one. Lets just say Croc 2 :bleh: Ape Escape is also a good one. :monkey_dance: i still play that game its so awesum. In fact i still play all my PS1 games coz theyre all so awesum! :)
|
Don't forget Skull Monkeyz.
That game was just inane, it was also the sequel to The Neverhood! |
Is psone the best console or what?
|
Naw.
C64 is better. Well, it's not really a console, but it's still awesome. |
There are loads of games from Disney, too :) I have Hercules and Bug's life :w00t:
My little cousin has my Colin McRae Rally for ps1, he loves it. So if that kid likes some sort of sport, there should be games for that. Also, Rayman and Crash bandicoot are awesome!! |
For Soldier S's sake:
Silouehette Mirage - Sidescroller shooter/beat-em up w/ kiddy egde Einhander - Advanced Sidescroller shooter Metal Slug series - sidescroller shooter (theres been a couple of releases for ps1) Ridge Racer series Ace Combat I think most of these games except for Ridge Racer will have steep learning curves for a six year old, but all worth playing. |
