I'd just like to tell u guys that this is the best thing next to washing machine.
If you're wondering about how to maintain an error-free PC and achieve 100% system performance, *snip*! P.S. If you're also wondering about how to kill spyware on your system, *snip*! |
No, you're wrong. Best thing next to washing machine is seeing someone like you get nuked in style by Titan™.
Please, Titan, make it a one hell of a nuke. :Titan: |
First off, bots don't care if they get nuked, and second off - what the heck is it on about washing machines for?
|
Man: SUMMON THE ALMIGHTY TITAN!!!
*Titan is summoned* Crowd: NUKE NUKE NUKE NUKE NUKE NUKE!! |
Ah but is it a bot or a human, this one even put a smilie in the topic name...
I don't think it's a bot, normaly their nicks appear on literally hundreds of forums when you search for them.... |

Every last one of the bot posts we got on AR this week (and several I spotted over here before they were removed) had smiley topic icons. If they were human, why bother targetting a forum with as little traffic as AR's?
|
But google the names of those bots and you'll get heaps of equal results, either this is a human spammer, or a very intelligent bot...

It's a bot. One of the trademarks is that they 99% of the times place that darned smiley in their topics. Another trademark is completely random posts camoflagued as helpful posts.
If you join a gaming forum, your first post would probably be along the lines of "Hi everyone. I just wanted to say that this site is awesome. Found lots of games. Keep it up!" or "I just saw this discussion, and I have to say that... yattiyah yah.... oh... Hi, by the way." A person rarely creates the very first post ever in a new forum to be "Hi! If you turn your pants inside out before placing them in the washer, the colours stay for longer! It's awesome, and it really works! Check this site for more information on the technique, and this site to get a great deal on a washer in your community!" Just ask any of the Game Forum moderators. They see more than their share of bot-attacks. |
