Is it normal that suddenly ads are hotlinked in the game reviews on the site? I got some linking to online poker games too.

The ads seem to disappear after a refresh, but it's still a bit strange. And with the tooltips it's downright annoying.

Even HOTU has that kind of advertising...

If you by hotlink say that the ads are located on a remote server, that might take a few secs to load, and slows the overall loading time of the page down, then yes. it's always been like that. We've never had any advertisment located on the Abandonian servers.

Me neither. Chances are you've installed some tool bar that is so friendly as to search your surfing for suggested advertising key words and link them.

Nah, both me and Doubler get it so I'm pretty sure it's not spyware (I have cleaned it from spyware today, and I never install any crappy toolbars, when it asks me for consent ;))

PS I only see this on abandonia, and not on any other site (not even reloaded), so I'm pretty sure it's site related not spyware...

I was testing how inline ads would work as a possibility of them replacing the regular ones accross the site... I removed them for the time being. Which ones do you think are less intrusive?
