Just wondering. The problem with view new posts is all the boards get kind of clumped into one. So looking down the list "blahx3" and "programming" are totally next to each other, making the individual boards usefull only for archival purposes. Not that this is a bad thing.
I was just wondering, does anyone NOT use the "view new posts" option when they get here? Are there those who miss posts on "Blahx3" because they refuse to visit there or what not. What do you say? |
I don't use it.

I don't use it either. Maybe I should, I'll check it out. I had already noticed the link, but somehow it didn't tempt me (?).
|
What is the "view new posts"..?
|
I don't use it either. :)

I can't see how you might miss any post, even if you haven't visited the fora for quite long there's an option at the bottom right to make the page show post as old as a year old (!). Have I missed anything? :) |
I didn't even know this option existed. I use the "Todays Active Topics" at the bottom of the page and that's way enough for me...
|
"Todays Active Topics" looks like nearly the same thing as "View New Post".
|
Today's active and View new are very similar, as long as you're checking day-by-day. Skip a day, however, and Today's active doesn't help IIRC.
The one feature I really dig on View new is the "Mark all forums as read" link. Yeah, I like that one when I'm all done. |
I dont uses that coz it pump all topics, better to look by another way.
