i luv this site it fits so neatly into wat i want in a games forum...
but the avitars r 2D nd that really drags down the rest of it.
i know that if they were to b upgraded, nd maybe personalised, it would really lift the sites members rate.
i want mine to be like nd art form... like a little bit of me, there. :max:

I don't understand your post...
Are you saying that our avatars are bad cause aren't 3D?

Anyway, I like my avvie and I'm not going to upgrade it into 3D...

I don't really understand how avatars could be 3D anyway, since computer monitor only allows us two dimensions...

Problem solved. Since an image on a screen is 2D anyway, '3D' comes down to shades. That can be done easily. '3D' images are around and it makes no difference, I think, to this forum 'engine' whether the image/avatar has shades or not. Moving 3D? Would probably be the same thing. Correct me if I'm wrong.

What's wrong with 2D avatars?

Also, you want a personalized one - make it! Otherwise it's not realy personalized.
MS Paint for basic pixel work, GIMP for F/X and GIF/PNG/JPG compression.

I'm really not clear on what you are suggesting in the first place.

Thought I'd make the upgrade...

You can make your own avatar, so if you don't like the one you have you have no one to blame but yourself.
