Probably a DNS-redirection-service.
You boot up, you coputer gets it's designated IP from your ISP/Router. Small software-client starts, chks the IP and reports it to www.whatever-FREEdns.something and ANY requests for: http://burger.freedns.com gets redirected to that IP you booted up with, and will target the web-server you have on the machine. |
