I was wondering if Lucas arts was ever going to Put out their old adventure games in a complation pack kind of like sierra is doing now with some of their older popular sieries.

Ask lucas arts. Maybe they know.

They definitely won't sell Sam & Max Hit the Road however.

Why?

I sometimes see the Day of the Tentacle/Sam and Max double pack floating around in shops.

It depends on whatever contract arrangement they made with the creator of Sam & Max. If they have full rights in perpetuity, they can do with it as they like. If the rights are good only for the game's initial release, then they won't do anything with it in the future, because there's no love lost between LucasArts and the designer.

Anyone follows the latest lawsuits between the english guy who made the storm trooper uniform and Lucasfilms? It's hillarious. Lucas claim they have the copyright, but the guy claims he invented and made the uniform so he is alowed to sell it sicen they made no contract for it. :D

anyway... copyright system is stupid.
why? because the law is not being strictly enforced.
and why is that? because it simply can not be. therefore the system is flawed.
how so? because everytime you put on a CD in a car and pickup a hitchiker for example you are already breakign the law (or better he is). there is only one copy of music and since you bought it only you are allowed to listen to it. if the passanger wants to listen to the melody he needs his own copy (under the copyright law) of the CD.

it sucks, doesn't it?

and in a lot of countries picking up hitchhikers means breaking the law, too

:ok:

They should, now that The Culture Shock is available.

whatever. the passnager can be your familly member (which is even weirder) and they still are not allowed to listen to the music on your CD.
