:wallbash:

At first I thought that it would be too amatteric to post a thread like this, but now I`ve changed my mind. Here`s the thing:

I have a WebCam:
Canyon - CN-WCAM21

And there doesn`t seem to have an option for taking snapshots with the camera. In other words, this camera doesn`t seem to have an option to take photographs, it can only record videos.

I`ve went through the options on (a lot of) several occations, and that kind of option is simply not there.

So I googled for sometime to find a nice freeware program which will give me that kind of option, but I still cannot find one. :wallbash:  :wallbash:
This feels realy stupid, when you have a webcam, and you cannot take a snapshot with it :ranting:

Can somebody please give me a name of such program, or give me a link?

Well, when searching for webcam games I found this little program that comes with a basic webcam program that, I think, had still picture abilities. Give it a try.

Thanks for the response, but I need software (freeware) for my cam, not a game-like software. :(

Some reccomended webcam software if you have on your mind.

You don't need to download anything, you just need to work out your damn camera. I assume you installed the drivers from a CD that came with the camera, right? So if a manual came with it, check that. If not, check the CD for a help program or a readme. If not, google some questions about your specific camera. You'll probably work it out yourself.

To me it seems like that camera just hasn't that option. Other cams had a snapshot button, not this one, so if it's not in the software for that cam, I'd say you need a different one.

Google web camera snapshot, and see what you find.
