Since last topic got closed, here is the new one to talk about this great card trading game. :)
@ Picard: I just finished for the first time Shandalar under the Apprentice difficulty... Scored something around 2300 years... Is that good? I have found that the only color I am confortable with (as always) is Black, primiraly because of the Dark Rituals. Seems like whatever deck I do, I always get manashort at the beginning of the game and end up losing my best cards to monsters that I should beat easily otherwise... (I had 9 Dark Ritual in my deck when I finished the game out of 74 cards total) I am usualy good with Red too, but there is no burn available at the beginning of the game... Red without burn = Where are my lightning bolts? :sneaky: |
Lovely little game...
I prefer the red deck myself. Especially a little card called Ali of Cairo  Is there any chance to play the game online? BTW - check this picture: |
You can play the demo trial version of Magic the Gathering Online with pre-built decks of 40 from 8th edition.
Here is the link. Be ready tough, it's heavy on the download. The game I was talking about in mly first post is an Abadonware Magic the Gathering game from 1997. There is an history mode and it's quite good. Unfortunatly it's too big for Abadonia. |

You weren't kidding. I clicked on the link and it was about an hour later that I could start playing - it's not just the download - but the instalation, that one took forever (or at least so it felt). :tnx: |
You did a lot better then I have Eagle of Fire. I was never able to complete the single player game (not that I tried much). For me it's about the multiplay (even against computers) and trying out some of my real life decks before I use them against my friends.

I fear that I won't be able to compete with my own IRL decks against you Picard... While a big percentage of the cards are probably from 3rd edition, some are from the newer sets unavailable on the game. I would need to work on this a little (perhaps even more than just a little).
Some of my decks are too "new" to even consider playing, like my White Soldier deck and my (newbie) black/red Anihilation deck. |
