Alright, this isn't really a technical question, it is more my interesting drama with my computers.
To get Daggerfall to install and run on my 64 bit laptop, I of course used DOSBox to install it, then imaged the cd like you have to for making the game run in DOSBox.
Well, I decided I'd put DOSBox on my 32 bit desktop today and play Daggerfall on it since sometimes 64 bit gets in fights with DOSBox. Daggerfall installed fine with DOSBox, but then it would not run off the image like it is supposed to do. I then for the heck of it tried running Daggerfall in XP (which normally crashes the system but I figured I'd try it again anyways) and now it works!  I just found that quite odd and figured I'd share it with you guys. :bleh:
Moral of the story: Windows XP has about as much of a clue knowing what it is doing as a drunk guy operating an industrial crane.

That's really weird, I wonder why that happened. I lost my copy of Daggerfall and have been looking frantically all over the house for it. Even being able to say "I'm having problems installing it" would be a step forward for me =(

I know the feeling. I've been looking for a Planescape Torment cd I lost for ages.

CDs should come with a built in tracking device.
