i cant get the manual and codes to work it always takes me to the OPEN WITH box and when i try to open it with a word program it just showes a bunch of symbols and letters

i want to get this to work because i'm a true sierra adventure fan and this game looks fun

They aren't codes so much as you'd notice, as I recall, but eventually you need to do some pharmacy work. Unless you are an expert in Old West pharmacology, you'll need this information.
