Im sure all of you old game lovers have sometimes ran to games that you just absolutely had to buy.. but by some sick and twisted reason you did not buy. And then, maybe year later you twist in agony, screaming "why, oh why" while sleeping and waking up sweatting like hell.

I once had a change to buy stunts in wrappings, but.. well, didn't. :D One of my favorite games I've never owned and I let it go. It was expensive, but hell, I would pay it today. The stupidity of human kind and me knows no limits.

About ten years ago, I was at a computer swap meet and they had for sale a 3 or 4 CD adventure game, fantasy. It looked right up my gaming alley. However it was more than I could afford at the time - about $79.00. Instead I bought a game called Azriel's Tears which I hated and never finished playing. I'm very fussy about games, only non-violent fantasy adventure which have great plots and decent graphics. This game has haunted me ever since, especially as I can't remember the title so I still can't get it. :tai:

i mean if you never played it how do you know it is good. and if it's any good there is always internet...


no need to spend money to test something....

i never regret buying anygame or not buying any. i only buy those that i really really like, have good replay value and well... are really awesome.

but most i just download or i got from another source (which is why i never played that many games cause internet was not arround much before).

but still let's take for example Hitman. i was always interested how it looked like (talking about the first part) but once you play it through you maybe try some other things and that's about it. would mean a lot of money spent for that... even more you could spend a lot of money and find yourself dissapoainted by the game.

so for example i got a original copy of HL, played it through, liked it a lot and decided to buy original game bundled with CS, Firearms, Wanted and a few other mods.

Im not quite sure, gregor, that if you understood me or did I not understand you? I have known / played stunts from god knows how long ago. The thing is, that we in this weird world of vanity and desire of owning, wan't to collect some rare pieces. I own several games that I never use, or if I had some plastic wrapping oldies I would never open them. I instead use the abandoned versions.

The computer game that I regret not buying is Star Trek: Starfleet Command (?) Gold Edition.

Non-game stuff:

In a store that sold greeting cards and gifts, I saw two adorable stuffed animals. A 45cm tall emperor penguin and stuffed tigress holding her cub in her jaws. However, I only had enough money for one. I bought the penguin and have never seen the tigress' likeness since.

When I was a student, I saw a beautiful necktie. It was satin weave, in black silk. Embroidered on the tie, black on black, was a rose, but the way the light came off of the satin weave, you could see it clearly. I could not justify buying it (I had paid less for some of my textbooks), it was the only necktie that I would feel proud to be seen in, and I never saw anything like it, ever again.
