:ranting: HOW DO I LAND THE GODDAMN THING!

i get the wheels out, i shut the engine off, and my plane drives all over
the runway and straight into the ocean....and I remember playing this for hours as a kid (have I perhaps actually never landed?)

What I still remember most from playing the game back then are the horrifying screams of the soldiers when you slaughter them with your MG. RATTTTTTTA RATTTTTTTTTA RATTTTTTTTTTA WAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH :rifle:

Its, tricky, but described both in the review and the manual that comes with the game. The trick is to get your plane somewhere above the level of the ship, do NOT turn your engine off, approach with a moderate speed and your nose slightly tilted upwards. As soon as you're above the ship press the UP arrow and keep it pressed. This will make your plane descend but with the nose tilted up. If you timed it right, you will clench onto one of the 4 or 5 hooks on the carrier. Oh, and one more thing, you have to approach the ship from the right, otherwise you can't land! Hope that helped :ok:

YES. I remember playing Wings Of Fury all the time on my old dos machine. I installed it and ran it in dosbox not so long ago, but it was just TO UGLY. This is awsome. A version with better graphics and sound :ok:

Kosta thanks for the schooling I've landed my plane at the 4th try after reading your how to. But can you make pit stops?? since I never seem to able to kill all the japs in one strike and always ran out of bombs and get dameged (that oile dale is a biatch!) but when I land my wee plane on the craft the damn thing dont get fixed rearmed or refuled :ranting:

You need to get to the starting position (on top of the lift), turn the engine off and press the button you use for dropping bombs. Your plane will descend into the carrier's belly and get refueled / restocked ;)
