Hopefully someone can help me out with this one. I dont know if anyone remebers the old Amiga CD32? Well, there was a game on it called Liberation: Captive 2 but I dont seem to be able to find out much about it, whether its abandonware or not, if a pc version was ever ported etc.

I cant remember that much about the game, except I really enjoyed playing it, and iirc it was a 3d RPG, quite good graphics for its time. There's a more detailed description of the game here if anyone is having trouble remembering the game.

Any information on it would be appreciated!

Great site by the way, I've spent the last 4 days browsing and downloading!

Hmm, all I can find is the Warhammer: Final Liberation game.

Yes, it's Amiga only. It was originally released for the CD32 but a cut-down version was later available for floppy based Amigas (including the A500 if 1.3Mb of RAM was available).

If the floppy version is installed to hard disk you can use a utility to generate better wall graphics on the fly and make it a little closer to the CD32 version even if the speech was still missing.

Information, screenshots, box scans and other material is available at the Hall Of Light:

CD32 version: http://hol.abime.net/884
Floppy version: http://hol.abime.net/883

One of the creators, Tony Crowther, went on to make Realms Of The Haunting on the PC. Liberation is also a sequel to Captive: http://hol.abime.net/2927
