Thank you for your time. I cant wait to play Quest For Glory. ^-^ |
You don't install zips - you unarchive them using some archive programs such as 7zip, winzip, winrar...

That's right. And then start some *.exe, or *.com, or *.bat file. Usually there is name of the game instead of asterix.

These helpful?? do i need to install using dosbox?
|
So to see you could benefit from reading the beginners guide to dosbox:
http://www.abandonia.com/vbullet/showthread.php?t=14406 Don't skip the ISO mount. And forget running dosgames directly in XP64, won't work. Dosbox works in it. And your dosgames will run IN dosbox. Dosbox is not the cmd window. |
The one with commander??
@ RincewindThinksHeIsAHero - After you extracted the zip, place folder created to the folder you mount as your C drive. Also rename it to something shorter, so you don't have that long file names. (to rename just select folder and pres F2 key - then type new short name) Now start DOSBox and if you did everything as you said you did, you should be able to see your folder in C drive after you type DIR command in DOSBox. If folder is there, type cd FolderName and hit enter Now pres Tab key untill you see something like gamename.exe or simillar. Hope this helps. |
I have read taht as stated in first post, says nothing about ISO though, i will try burning it now, how do i install using DOSBox?
Thank You. |
I just say don't skip it, I didn't say you need it for this one. It's was a bit preemptive, to avoid your next problems with dosgames.
sry for that. |
