I haven't seen anything from Interplay (makers of Descent and Fallout) as of late, and their site is dead as far as I know. Are they no more now and I'm behind on the news or am I just imagining things?

Titus bought Interplay in 2002, I think.

EDIT: Yep. Check the "Group" section of www.titusgames.com

Yeh, they're gone.
And in case you are wondering what happens to the fallout games... you should know since Bethesda is currently making Fallout 3 ;)

Wait, Beth Soft is making F3?????? That has to be the best hands for that series to fall into. :D

What do we know Bethesda Softworks from? I can only name Morrowind....

Stroggy 14-12-2004 07:11 PM

well the entire line of TES games: Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind and the next chapter: oblivion

also TES adventure, like: redguard

It was revealed that fallout 3 would be made by bethesda shortly before oblivion was announced... many fans of TES were angry back then, thinking bethesda dropped work on TES to work on fallout 3.

Since they only just got the liscence no screenshots have been shown as of yet but it is rumoured that fallout 3 will feature the same engine as Oblivion.

Now that would be VERY awesome looking.

Well, not exactly gone yet. The latest news on the net about Interplay is from the summer: as Titus went bankrupt last summer, Bethesda licensed Fallout from Interplay, but Interplay retained all online gaming rights. It might be that they're working on an MMORPG that they hinted at in June.

And Bethesda is also known for Sea Dogs and the FPS Terminator games.

I played arena and morrowind. Great that there will be a new episode! :w00t: I didn't know that. Morrowind was cool!
