------------------------ Hey there... I have a similar problem... only, My DosBox version seems to have no sound. This is not a major problem really, it just lacks the fear and atmosphere I remember from the game.:( Every time i run the setup prog, nothing actually works and the prog seems to throw out the changes before closing. I am running Vista Basic with SP1 on a 1.9Ghz dual core AMD Athlon with 2GB memory and vast swathes of HD space. I don't think I am using a sound card as such. It appears to be onboard REALtec high defenition audio. Any hints and tips? Crysta1 |
Check if any files in the game directory don't happen to be set to read-only.

uh..... I wish to submit a formal request to be mocked for my stupidity.
I have found a post from the begginning of the month regarding sound in Dosbox. I totally didn't realise there were additional benefits to mounting the cd drive in the game directory as well as just mounting the game file's location. Not only do I get sound, I also get the intro. Let the mocking commence!!!:amused: Crysta1 |

Hello Mech Commander.
You need to mess up a little with the setup files. My own copy doesn't work with sound either, but I managed to run the music in the background. Thing is, I never played this game with sound anyways. There was no soundcard on my computer when I first played the game, so I don't actualy miss anything. Maybe using a lower version of DOSBox would help here. |
