Striker 96

Kinda odd to post this here, but I couldn't figure out where else to put this.
I have uploaded Striker 96 to a filehost for a friend.
Now, I could just delete the file or let it die down, but I figured I might as well post it here so other interested parties could get the game.
Is it ok to post the link?
Is it an acceptable abandonware title?
If anyone official can approve, I'll just append the download url to this post.
Thanks

1)The whole Striker series is abandonware, so it's good.(Source:OW list)
2)You may upload this game on the Abandonia FTP, so no need for your friends link (but thanks :) )
3)You do need to review it and take some screenshots, to make it featured on the site, but someone else can do it for you, if you wish.

Thanks for sahring the game with us :D

Ok then.
Appearently one cannot edit his own posts in this forum, so here goes the link: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=Q7MRDCO9

Feel free to mirror this on your FTP, as, IIRC, MU has a 30 days inactivity timer.
The download is the full ISO image of the game, in A120's MDF format.

I'd better not review this, as I haven't played it since 1997 or something.
I'll see about taking a few screenies.

I dug out several whole shoeboxes of old CDs (199x mostly) while searching for the game, so I might post some more here. There seems to be no moderated request list here, so I'll just see how it goes.

Have fun with the game in the meantime.

If it's an ISO then we'll put it i the ISO Cellar, no need for review or screenshots. Is it the full version or a RIP?

rezaf 22-09-2008 12:31 PM

Aren't the terms ISO and RIP kinda ruling each other out?
Anyway, it's a full image of the original CD.

Err ... how do you get to this "ISO Cellar", btw?

Tomekk and Rezaf, a RIP was originally a FULL copy.
Only later certain 'pirate' folks refered to it as a non-complete image.

But it's still officially a FULL image.

And to access the ISO cellar you will first get rid of that n/a instead of postcount, after a certain time/posts (forgot how much) you'll get access to it.

I know what a RIP is... They basically cut out the movies, music and voices from the game to reduce it's size, thus you need smaller bandwith.

dosraider 22-09-2008 12:49 PM

No, you obviously don't know.
A CD rip is still officially a FULL image, not a 'cutted' down one.

Don't mixup pirate talk and official terms.

Tomekk 22-09-2008 12:53 PM

I'm NOT MIXING THEM UP, SO STOP TEACHING ME!!! Thank you :amused:

Thanks for the info.
A bit sad that posting crap on OffTopic will get you access to a site feature while actually adding ISOs appearently won't, but it's your site.
