Looking for a 'Who dun-it/Trapped in a buidling with maniac" type of game...
Um, a perfect example of what im looking for is either 'Murder Mansion' which is a game which you need the BYOND engine to play, though ppl rarely host
Or you can think 5 days a Stranger, cept in this case, not a paranormal being, just a crazy murderer guy...Any suggestions? |
Hugo House of horrors?

The Colonels Bequest - not a lot of horror but a great game nevertheless!

The first thing I think of when you say "trapped in a house with a maniac" is Clock Tower for the SNES (technically Super Famicom since it was a japanese only release).
It is one of the first survival horror games, and is unique cause you are a girl who can NOT fight back against the creepy as hell ugly boy-thing with his giant pair of scissors. There are lots of different endings, and LOTS of ways to die (mwahaha), the music is also frightning as hell, and gives me the chills just listening to it. This and Silent Hill are my most favorite horror games. I has been translated to english by a team, I'm sure you can find it on ROM sites. And of course there are the Clock Tower sequels for PSX and PS2 but they aren't as good (I hear). Maybe The Last Express? I haven't played it exactly, but I think you are trapped on a train with a murder investigating the murderer. |
I like frightening as Hell things. If you guys have Thief 2 the metal age, and thief 2 shadows of the metal age (awesome mod for Thief 2) then you'll know scary as hell, specially that hospital. won't be going back there!
I'll check all de's games out mang |
Haha, dang, was going to say "5 days a stranger" then read the rest of the post. if you are into puzzle games, theres always the clue series. the only one i can think of is clock tower, which has already been mentioned.

I like how clock tower sounds too, and how it has alternate endings aswell :)
