Start it up. Then, in the command-prompt, type this:
Code:

Mount c c:\
That is, if c: is the drive you installed Beneath A Steel Sky in. Then, type this:
Code:

c:
After that, you'll have to go to the folder you installed the game in. You'll have to use the command cd for that (which, in this case, stands for Call Directory) Let's presume you installed it in C:\Games\SteelSky, it'd be like this:
Code:

cd games\steelsky
A quick tip: pressing Tab will cycle through all possible files and folders it can find that start with what you typed.

After having arrived in the game's folder, just type in the name of the exe-file you wish to run. If you aren't sure, type
Code:

dir
It'll give a list of all files and folders in the current folder. You can specify it so it'll list files with only a certain extension. This's done by typing
Code:

dir *.exe
or, shorter,
Code:

dir.exe
Along with that, there're two very useful parameters to dir. These are /w, which'll show the results in columns, and /p, which'll pause when the results've filled the screen, until you press a key.

Although it only works with some games, ScummVM is, IMO, much better than DOSbox for the games it runs.

Fortunately, BaSS is among them. So use ScummVM instead.
