Abandonian Book Depository

aka - Get a bit o' culture into ya!

Sean Williams has released his novel The Crooked Letter (winner of both the Aurealis and Ditmar awards) for free, this inspired me to collect a few links to free and public domain ebooks. If anyone else would like to contribute that would be wonderful, after all, there's nothing like a good book.

And just remember, if you're in the book depository you can't be on the grassy knoll :)

The Crooked Letter Sean Williams

American Gods Neil Gaiman (released on his publisher's website) I really recommend this guy, he's great, you may know him as the author of the Sandman comics and the author behind the new movie Coraline.

Freak Angels the free weekly comic by Transmetropolitan's Warren Ellis

and of course, the grand daddy of them all -

Project Gutenberg A brilliant resource for public domain books, it's an amazing library and has many many titles in languages other than English.

Any other suggestions or recommendations? :)

EDIT: By the way, let's keep everything that's linked appropriately licensed for free distribution.

Try the Baen Free Library. Lots of SF. :)

And Dailylit will send you books chapter by chapter via email or RSS feed. Most are free.
