If you had been born into...

Imagine for a moment that you have the ability to change your pitiful meaningless existance into whatever you wish by simply having been born into it.
Wealth, power, respect, status, learning, what position in life would you like to have been born into?

The problem with theorizing being born into anywhere other than where you actually were born into is that you can't give a guarantee that any situation would actually feel better or worse, and as such I tend to believe that I would be no better or worse off anywhere. :p

This is true self-illusion is solidary.
None the less, I'm going to entertain the thought for once.

There is no such thing as being "born" into a position of power.

You attain those goals with work and personnal dedication.

I'll try and remember that the next time I wish I were a Rothschild.

That's indeed a very hard question to answer. Mankind's curse is that no-one is ever truly happy with what he or she has. Of course, you can be worse or better off but I often see people with a lot less being a lot happier than those who have everything.

Take my boss for example. He has a beautiful Polish wife (imported ;) ), a son, a daughter and a stepdaughter. He lives in a beautiful and large house, drives a big car, has his own successful company yet he rarely smiles. All he does is worry and worry and complain and aggravate himself. He's never happy even though his company is growing and flourishing.

Even his son and daughter aren't better off - who would want a father like that? Never home and when he is, always busy, stressed out.

All those royals (like those in my country) require so much hard work and dedication to get into positions of power.

I rarely do this but....LOL

mkay, I tried to have fun with this but its become a debate of statements rather than a good time, and if you truly believe someone with more money than god and ownership of enitre countries isn't "born" into anything, then you deserve your title PEASANT.
Take it with you and hang it high on your forehead for the whole world to see LOL
I'm done with this post.

I'd've been a Samurai in the Warring States era...

Preferably one from a house / clan with a good rep for Martial Art and Bonsai (since that's what I do anyway) and playing Go.

I'd spend my days raking my sand garden, practising my sword skills and Martial technique, all the while dreaming of the day I would lead my men to victory and glory for my Daimyo.

Whom I would assassinate and usurp power from (to the rapture of the people) at the first opportunity after much planning.
