Review & download (if available) |
Looks nice. Must try it out.
EDIT: Hmm... Can't even figure out how to do anything but open the map/get picked up/change tactical position. How do you move? How do you fire? How do you do anything? EDIT 2: Hehe. Just realized you need to first select a character using F1 through F4, then select that one character again. Right. |
Oh my goodness! :woot:
Great game! I never did finish it back then in 1992, although I enjoyed it a lot. I was stuck on some missions. Then a stupid ex-classmate of mine at the time borrowed the game floppy disks (3 floppy disks if I am not mistaken), and somehow overwrote them with his data, making me lose the game as I did not have a backup copy  Anyway, I recommend it for everyone. I will download the game, although I may not play it again, just for nostalgic sentiment. The reason is that I no longer have a joystick, and am too lazy to buy one. Believe me, playing this game with a joystick gives a better experience. |
some controls from dosbox
pressing f1-f4 once gives you the person's vision and pressing it again gives you control of them. Like an above poster said.
"R" equips the rifle; "L" equips the rocket launcher; "Enter" or "Return" picks up your squad thus ending the mission, unless you quit out of Dosbox. "Space bar" is how you fire, if you've selected and are controlling a person. Movement is used by the arrows on the keyboard. There may be other ways to control the squad other than the keyboard but I'm not sure. Either "F" or "G" gives you a different formation. Also it seems that the weapon in the top left of the backpack will be their default weapon when you change between people. EX: I had a guy equip his Rifle but when I switched out of him and switched back to him, he had a his out. |
Manual&Quick Reference card
Do any of you guys know where i can find the complete english manual and quick reference card for this game? The dos version, not the amiga one.

Special Forces
I really like this game - just played a couple of missions - I think there is definitely a depth to it. Setting up two snipers either side of a bridge then bombing something on the other side, waiting for the enemy to cross, and them ambushing and killing 10, 20 soldiers at once == very satisfying!
