It's been delayed since 2000, and I'm not joking. :D I tested an early beta of a previous build Blakemore came out with around that time; so did others. Then he said he was going to use a new graphics engine because of interest in distributing it overseas, and his website vanished. It's good to see him back, but I hope he's not going to fall into another graphics-upgrade mode, again.

As for the Wizardry lookalike thing: well, yeah. He was a programmer on at least one of the titles before the last--Wizardry 6 or 7, possibly both.

You might try contacting him. How can it hurt? Just tell him that you've admired some of the Sir-Tech Wizardry games, and would like to beta his efforts. I'll probably say hi again to Blakemore after the first of the year, but I'd rather wait for gold code, especially if he's (relatively) close.
