Yes, fifth, i believe it does for the simple reason as you can be whoever you want on the internet, say what you want, and do what you want, thus granted you stuper-duper human powers (i say "stup" for a reason though)

But we are talking about superhumans. Maybe the Nietzschean superhuman will be born on the internet? That would suck!

But, being serious, the internet has a lot of potential that has nothing to do with porn nor with commercial opportunities. Internet could make the idea of an universal library come true, and join humanity in a supranational community. Said that way sound very hippie, but I think that ideological frontiers could find common ground first on the internet and then on the physical world. It's just that internet is falling into the hands of merchants and politics, and they are trying to redraw the frontiers on that which cannot be divided, and earn money by selling the pieces.

It made me who I am today. I've grown up with the internet.

Not exactly superhuman. Just super-sexy.

On a slightly less serious note, the internet is wonderful. Freedom of information, file sharing, facts and figures at your fingertips. Albeit, not always accurate. As a whole, it's a positive thing. :thumbs:

When reading some posts on some juvenile.com sites I can only conclude that the internet creates a new kind of highly improved super_idiots.

To see it more objective, it makes humans inhumane. If you look upon this new form of conduct as something positive - ergo super -, is dependent on your perspective.


And it would be inconsistent with the biological component of Nietzsche's Übermensch. I can clearly see Nietzsche's grimacing face at the sight of the internet. LOL

But on the whole its a good thing. I like the lolcat pictures...

The internet created a whole subculture of interesting specimens. Most of the should get an instant Darwn award. But superhuman? No, not really. It could, if it was used for what it was intended, and not a playground for Facebook kiddies...

Average person + Internet + anonimity = asshole.
