We all know we have a Youtube Channel, which you can find here. Problem is no video was uploaded for nearly 2 months. The main problem that caused this situation is adding the logo. Besides being kind of hard to add it without quality loss, some people think we shouldn't display a logo that isn't used by AB right now, or has no chance to be used in the future. At the moment, though, even if we'd solve the logo problem, we don't have a fast solution to upload the videos.

Here comes another idea that we should upload the videos without the logo, which on one hand will reduce the necessary time to upload them, on the other hand the video could be easily copied and uploaded by other people without promoting Abandonia, outside of our channel.

Please choose an option from the poll and post your thoughts in the thread. This will help us solve the crisis.

I think with the logo would be just cool, but it's not that necessary, that videos are suck without it.

Well if you want, you can upload the vids without logo then - I'm not going to wait for Studentis to FINALLY consider changing the site's look because I wanted the intro to reflect that.

They're all on the FTP server and the account details were shared with all admins so if you want to add Youtube vids (this only goes for staff members natch) let us know.

Just wondering, is it even possible for you to post now without mentioning STD?

The poll isn't really getting what this is about: the logo was there to make straight ripping impossible. Right now, we already had our reviews & screenshots stolen and I wanted the vids to at least have a reminder what site made them. Remove it and you open the door to other sites simply taking the vids and re-using them as their own. The discussion is really about whether this is acceptable or not. If think the extra effort is not worth it just for the sake of protecting our content, then we can do without the logo. If you think protecting our content is more important, then we can't. It's as simple as that.

And arete: if I can't stop mentioning STD in every post, it's because of how they're holding up all the work I could do but can't because of their slow sloooow and poor way of working.

The question is different now, better a dead channel or an updated one?
Actually I don't really see where is the problem, videos aren't like reviews, you can create them easily.
Even XTC abandonware has a similar channel, but he seems not worried about his precious content.

I think we should just keep the current logo until we have a definite new one for the site. And keep adding the videos.
So yes, if the logo is changed, some will have the old logo on them. So? It's not that much of a problem, IMO>
