Getting Deus to run in Win XP
So I got my hands on a copy of Deus. The problem though, is that it won't run in Windows XP, even with compatibility mode on Win 9x.
It always gives me the error "The procedure entry point FT_Thunk could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll." I tried running it in DOSbox, but then I get an error saying that Deus is a 32 bit application. Is there any solution to this problem that doesn't involve installing a virtual machine? |

It's for Windows and DOS, so there should be an executable which is executable in DOSBox.
|
isn't it completely different cd..? or are the dos and windows version on the same cd?
|
It had only one CD, I believe to remember.

Yes, I mean Deus. I sadly only have the Windows version. I tried getting a new DLL, but that didn't fix it. I think that the call was removed from windows as it was superseded or something, which is really out of character for Microsoft, since M$ is famous for not doing so. If someone could find me a DOS version of it, that would be great.

IIRC, Deus is currently being sold at gog.com

I assume then, that asking where I can download it for free isn't allowed on this forum.

Well I've managed to acquire a working copy of Deus. It seems to be working so far at least.
