hey, just trying to figure something out.
some people's quotes come up with the a name, and date of the quoted post. others (mine) just say QUOTE and give the quote. what's the difference? I can't seem to get the name etc included. :unsure: |
See the button above each post, in the right corner? That says "Quote"? If you push that, instead of doing [quote] in your post itself, then you see the name. I think there is also another way to use [quote] and still make the name appear, but I don't know it, unfortunately :eeeeeh:
But the quote button works fine for me. |
This is what you should do to get a quote the other way. Replace any <> in my examples with [].
Press Quote. Then inside the square brackets add =nameofpersonyouarequoting so you get <QUOTE=nameofpersonyouarequoting>. Then type your quote and hit the quote button again. You should end up with something like this (with []): <QUOTE=nameofpersonyouarequoting>Text that you want to quote</QUOTE> |
