OK, as some of you know I teach english at a small school. I'm one of two english teachers here (and clearly the younger one - just started last year).

But the other teacher is going into retiremant on the 1st of March and that means I'll get much more work (and some clear hints have been given, that my contract would change). This could become my permenant job - so I won't have to wory about jov securty any more (I'll hopefully have it).

The down side is, that I'll have much less time. So if you don't see me around much - that means I got the job. I'll try to stay active (keep reviewing, updating, translating the Slovene site,... talking to people,...), but I guess this will give most of you a chance to catch up on my post counts (my average of 20 posts per day will deffinetly drop).

so please keep your fingers crossed for me - I'd really like to get this job (even with all the additional work I'd have to do).

I really hope you'll still drop by here from time to time. You're one of the "roots" of the forum. ;)
Aside from that, I wish you luck with the probably changing job. :ok:

Full time... YES, but I was still more of an understudy (meaning I only had to attend meetings - no to prepare them, to prepare the material, to make reports, to coordinate the subject of english with other subjects, to be have an understudy of my own, to do all the buerocracy - and trust me, there's alot of it,...). And this job would be for keeps them (if the new contract is signed they can't get rid off me until I wish to go, or until I brake a rule - so I can wait here for retiremant or take on a better job - but don't have to worry about keeping this one - no one can put me on the street after that - even if the school closes down! It's a government job so they have to arange a transfer for me).

Oh and I didn't say I won't be able to visit any more (but my posts will drop dramatically due to the lack of time).

Good luck with the job, and don't forget us entirely ;)

Good luck! Don't overstress yourself, make sure to get some gaming in to relax. ;)

Do like my religion/philosophy teacher from back in high school does. He took two weeks off, staying at home, ill. What he did was went out to buy a new comp, along with a couple of games. After two weeks, when he was back, his classes were 'bout how to get further in Tomb Raider and the planes in Microsoft Flight Simulator.

So school is going to take up your time, eh? :)

Anyway, good luck.. there are very few teachers whome students can actually approach and talk to.
