Demodisk Platformer
Been looking for this for years. Series of none-scrolling screens to complete, tile-based, and I remember one screen was a house made of wall blocks, and there was a secret level if you ran accross the roof...
Something in the back of my mind is telling me it had a name like Fairlight, and I hope I'm not just getting that mixed up with another game of that era. Been searching for variations of "fairlight" on Google-Images for so long, and nothing close. Wish I had more to go on. I think it had wav sound as opposed to midi, and collectables that you had to collect, and I think the dude you control is the same size as the map blocks. I'm in the UK and I'm pretty sure it was a demodisk. Cheers. ;/ |
Oh, and I think the screens had plain black backgrounds - no backdrops, and the graphics were probably 256-colour VGA. Possibly 16-colour EGA but I really doubt it. It was VGA period and I remember it being colourful.

Too bad you didn't state what the gameplay was about nor the goals ingame ......
Was it something as Heartlight? http://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/heartlight |
Are you sure it wasn't a warez disk of some sort? Fairlight is the name of a warez group, and back in the day it was common for cracked games to come with cracktros.

Like I said, I couldn't remember anything except the stuff I mentioned. Hm, Heartlight isn't even a platformer... There is a house screen but no secret level that I can see... I guess if I'm getting that confused with another game because they both have house screens, then I'll never find it. |
