This is probably bit too new (made around 2003), but it doesn't hurt to ask doesn't it? So year-wise, is it okay?

Its been while since I've played this version and I have to check out if it actually is a proper port and not just one of those fancy emulators running roms.

Which Splatterhouse do you mean? I don't see any of them having a PC version.

This one. The PC version is not listed in Mobygames.

It was only released in Japan, though.

The publisher/developer (Namco) is an ESA member so the game is protected until 2016.

It probably is abandoned, but we don't know if there realy is PC version. Well, even if it is emulator running rom, it is OK for abandonia IF that was company's official release of the game for the PC market.

We would need to find this archive and check that.
