c64 2d red stickman sidescroller action game
 

I think this must have been around the early 90s.

1 It was a commodore 64 game
2 It was a sidescroller
3 You controlled a red stickman
4 The game was about shooting down endless hordes of enemies that came unto the screen from the right(I think). It was divided into sections, so first you had to fly a helicopter and shoot. Then in the next section you had to steer a speedboat and shoot and so on. I´m not too sure about the order, but I never got past the boat section.
6 You could move up, down, left, right on the screen in your vehicle but the picture stayed static ...I think
7 If you died in any of the sections you had to start over from the beginning.
8 The game was viewed from the side.
9 The grahpics where kind of the type you see on roadsigns for helicopters, boats and the like.

It was unforgivingly hard. I´d love to see a playthough again someday.

So I guess the game is older than I initially thougth. Probably mid to late 80ies.
