Yes, whenever I exit a game it crashes. I have to unplug my computer, and start over. Is there anything other than Dos Box I could use? Or is there a way I could put a game on a cd, and run it like that?

My brother computer crash everytime he exit DOSBox too and I'm pretty sure it's because his system is so screwed up that DOSBox act so strange on his computer. He's really due to format and install everything back...

That's what you get when you go to warez and other such "friendly" sites without even the minimum of protection on your computer I guess... He also have the tendency to delete games by deleting the game folders instead of going thru the uninstall... Which of course is not recommended.

it should work on 98.
but if dosbox crashes. in 99 % you can blame your videocard drivers for it .

How do you exit DosBox? Do you actually press Exit on the game or do you press the x in the top-right corner?

Just that you could try exiting it in a different way, eg. Alt-F4 and if you exit by pressing the x then try exiting through the games exit option. When the command prompt for DosBox appears type exit.

Have you tryed using Dos (Start > Run > cmd) and playing the game through that environment?

Example only: (type the bold, replacing the sample names for actual names)

c:\Documents and Settings\user> cd ..
c:\Documents and Settings> cd ..
c:\> cd c:\dosgames
c:\dosgames> cd gamefolder
c:\dosgames\gamefolder> game.exe

Then exit out of actual "Dos" and see if that lets you quit without crashing... worth a shot :ok:

I actually use CTRL + F9, aka "kill process" shortcut that is implemented in DosBox.
