Mortal Kombat 1, 2, & 3 (All DOS) now being sold on GOG.com!

GOG Link
MK1 is even the CD version!

So what happens to the versions on this site now?
Will they get taken off now that they're being sold digitally?

It would appear so... Downloads removed.

SpiDoL 17-02-2015 07:52 PM

Mm.
Well at least now everyone can enjoy the DOS versions easily, legally, and at a great price!

EDIT:
You might wanna make a newspost on the main site about this...

I wonder how they do the CD audio in those gog compilations.. do they hack the games?
modified dosbox? portable virtual cd image loader?

Just curious because I need a way to have cd music without cd's on my real dos machine. :perv:

DOSBox can mount CD images by default.

GOG releases usually have the audio tracks in ogg format and a separate data only CD-image. They have a cue sheet that combines the audio tracks and data which they mount in DOSBox with imgmount.

People will find out when they try to download. I prefer to keep news posts positive... If we made one every time GOG snatched a popular game, nowadays news would be depressing instead of doing any service.
