Flight Commander 2

Aye, Flight Commander 2, can be simple, can be complex, hard and easy, you can adjust the settings to your liking as much as you want, and AI is quite good (read: not making silly mistakes as in rest of the games). Interesting campaigns (though short), and lot of airplanes...

Let me explain the game in short: If you play campaign you're given some planes, and pilots, your goal is to accomplish various missions (Sweep intercept, radar intercept, bombing...) but not from usual 1st person look. It is turn-based and you take control of whole squadron from a 2D look.

This game is also avaible on HoTU, but this really deserves it's place here.

FC2 is a very very good game, do you want it? I think I might have it somewhere.

FC 2 is awesome. Does anybody know where I can get third party campaigns?

I'd also love to know this, as I've never found third-party missions for FC2 anywhere...

Okay, now I believe I must be looking like an idiot. In the beginning of the nineties (when windows 3.11 was still da bomb) I had this turnbased flight strategy game on my desktop.

It consisted out of several campaigns during which you were able to command several fleets of jets during the war in Korea (I think), Vietnam and a futuristic war between the USSR and the NATO countries. I spent hours and hours playing this game!

The game as such was practicallly completely adjustable to your own difficulty level. You could even switch off the difference in altitude.

Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of the game anymore. Can anyone help me find this game?
