BLOODUK 04-04-2005 04:07 PM

The holder of this card has autism
(which includes Asperger syndrome)

This card is issued by The National Autistic Society. It tells
you what to expect when you meet a person with autism.
Autism is a disability that affects social and communication
skills.

People with autism may behave unpredictably because they
have difficulty understanding social situations and language.

Stroggy 04-04-2005 04:13 PM

I can make a multitude of cruel, but funny, jokes about this; but I won't.

BLOODUK 04-04-2005 04:13 PM

Just saying if i freak out , or dont give a toss about other peoples feelings you know why ;)

hence the pope

edit : it doesnt mean i go around drooling or looking totaly abnormal
i look the same as anybody else , but my reactions to situations are different
more prone to getting into fights or giving out the wrong impression.

You have Autism? see, I didnt know

Havell 04-04-2005 05:28 PM

What good does the card do? If it's just a card you keep in your wallet then it doesn't do any good and if you have to wear it clipped to your shirt then you'll look a bit silly.

BLOODUK 04-04-2005 05:45 PM

Its just an identity thing , say if i get in a fight or have a problem with the law or special discounts ;)

Autism is on a scale, there are very seriously autistic people at one end (like my brother) and almost normal people like BLOODUK at the other.
