Depends on what you mean by "from the internet". I've bought secondhand books from bookshops via the internet, but those were all brick and mortar shops and I used ordinary paying methods, so I'm not sure whether that would count. All I used the internet for was to have a look at their stock lists, really...

I've bought a ton of dvd movies over the internet. A lot of movies are never released on dvd in Denmark, and it's illegal to sell imported dvd's in Danish stores, so if I want something special I often have to import it myself.

I did some internet shopping only once.I bought D&D 3 ed. books. I don't buy on the internet because I'd rather like to buy in traditional shops. And I'm not buying any rare things so shops are enough for me.

Nearly all my DVDs and CDs are now bought from www.play.com, and a lot of books too, I bought a leather coat on eBay from a small shop in Wales, and my PC hardware is often bought online - my new gfx card and extra RAM were bought on the internet, it's much cheaper.

Edit: Oh, and some home furnishings like a duvet cover (and some shorts), plus a Le Creuset cocotte, a clock and some mugs :)

I purchased over 40 PCs over the net (Dell), tons of stoftware (also for work) and some stuff for my self (eBay mostly, like Sega Genesis, Office 97 - almost 8 years ago etc.)

Rescently I purchase mostly from www.CDW.com.

Ops, I forgot, I purchased my back-up cart for GBA trough online shop, and had it delivered in 2 days from China. (over the weekend?!)

my first ever internet purchase was in about 1998 when i bought redhat 3 online!

i have online dvd rentals from lovefilm.com

i have an ebay feedback of 107 (100% positive so far :P )

i bought some model paints from an online model store- i wasnt happy with them because i payed for recorded mail and they sent it regular mail - and ignored my email about it.

if its anything reasonably expensive, get it sent recorded/registered - the sellers dont usually rip people off.. but the POST OFFICE workers steal things. they slit open envelopes and everything, or just "lose" anything DVD shaped.
dont buy anything from the far east/ former eastern bloc/ africa etc unless they have a good reputation, either from people's opinion, or in the case of ebay; feedback. again, try and make sure its registered delivery

ebay is one of the best ways, because if they rip you off you can claim it back through paypal (if you payed with paypal) and give them negative feedback etc. unlike for example those model paints i bought from an online store.

some things are a lot cheaper online than in regular stores. rechargeable batteries are a good example. retail stores just have low capacity ones at 3x the price that ebay sellers have for high capacity.

i recommend this guy

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...045905&tc=photo

very good price and reliable over 9000 positive feedback and 6 negative

thats incredible feedback!!

(no i am not this seller LOL )
