Please can someone assist - I seem to be doing everything wrong!

Flashback: Have set up DOSBox exactly following Anubis' great tutorial. Got as far as double clicking game to unzip (using WINRAR) and I get "Diagnostic Messages" for 228 files

Deathgate: Sorry to be thick but still can't understand how to set up to "run from the D:DGATE directory" advised by Sebatianos.
Could some kind person used to speaking to idiots give me a step by step "How To"?

I'm really looking forward to playing these games & have found your site really helpful

Try a different extractor for Flashback. When I was packing it, I used a slightly different standard of ZIP compression, and only later it came to light that some programs might not read it.
Try Total Commander and its built-in ZIP packer/unpacker, it worked so far.

I used to use Winzip which did everything I needed at the time
