Ok, I'm having an odd problem and I have just about exhausted every idea that I've come up with to get Pool of Radiance to run on my comp.

I've used dosbox before and had no problem running games like populous, moo, bards tale (etc.) in it before.

The game seems to load up just fine in dosbox (both version 0.61 and 0.63), but for some reason it will NOT let me past copy protection. I know I'm translating from the wheel correctly, but it wont accept the correct passes as valid.

I know the copy of the game is good. I got it from Underdogs. I deleted and redownloaded it to be sure there wasn't a problem. Somone in annother thread recently got it from there and has no problems getting it to run in their dosbox so the game itself must be fine.

I searched for a way to unprotect it, but i don't have the required software (norton utilities) that any of the unprotect solutions i can find list as required.

At this point, I don't know what else to try. Does anyone out there have any ideas?

Perhaps the game is already cracked and you need to hit enter without entering something to pass the copy protection.

Nope. I couldn't be that lucky. I had actually tried that myself. It was a good thought.....

You may have already found a way around, but, I still have the code wheels and could look up what you need any time.
