This weekend I'm going to the "Rock Werchter"festivak in Belgium and I was wondering if anybody is going to one of the big festivals this summer.

I'll be joining Rock Werchter as well, but for different acts:

- New Order\Thievery Corporation (I'll have to choose)

- Roisin Murphy
- Chemical Brothers
- Nine Inch Nails
- Elvis Costello
- Interpol

I'll be going to Warwick Folk Festival in a few weeks time. I don't go because of the music but because all my friends go, the atmosphere is great and, as my Dad is one of the organisers, I get free tickets! :D

I usually go to the Roskilde festival, but I'm not going this year. IMO the program has gotten worse and worse in the past years. I did want to see Black Sabbath and DAD, who are playing this year, but I've seen both before, so I figured it wasn't worth going just for that.

Besides, I'm broke. :D

FLOP: i will not go to any Festivals because i can´t take the ?lejr mood in them (?lejr = island camp) and for me it is exactly like that although i don´t mind people smoking the fatty , but all the other things makes me cringe bigtime , since i have experienced too much island camp. And to me that is a big nono but the music is great , no doubt about that :ok:

I don't know man, my mom used to drag me along to ?lejr every summer when I was 6-10, and I don't really recognise the ?lejr mood in Roskilde. To me ?lejr was more of a hippie thing, and I don't thing Roskilde is, really. I don't know about some of the other Danish festivals, though, but from what I've heard some of them might be comparable to ?lejr (langeland, midtfyn, etc.).

No, but I am going to Leeds fest on the Sunday (I can only afford one day :(). It's going to be pretty good.

think i'm going to the city's Stronghold Days:some medium bands(as reputation)but realy loved around here (Oradea) eill sing on Friday.sat there is a Medieval Festival with kinghts in shiny armour and jousts.
Sunday :folk day.Defenetly not going!(because not all the folk music is That good,because no i-don't-know-how-to-spell-in-english-singers won't come) :max:

i was meant to be working glastonbury this year but my wife wanted to be in germany for her 30th birthday, and there was no way in hell she was going to go alone :cry:
