Im currently writing a written assignment about a ballon journey but im totally drained of ideas. So i thought that maybe you would have something i could write about? I havent even started jet :blink: so anything is appreciated...

Back in <insert time period here>, there were a couple of windbags that thought they could fly. For that, they created some more windbags, which they inflated with hot air, and tied a basket to it.

Good start? :D

so what youre actually suggesting is that the windbags are alive? and that I should tell a story from their point of view?

If one is talking about a PERSON who is a WINDBAG - it refers to somebody who talks a lot, but does little, somebody who is full of himself and full of HOT AIR (empty promisses)...
But the HOT-AIR balloones are also windbags...

How about this for a start:
Poeple have always dreamt of flying. Ever sinse the story of Icarus there have been attempts to make wings, so people could fly. But all have failed. The in the 18th century a revolutionary idea came forth. People don't need wings to fly, they need an air-ship. Just like things with their specific weights less the that of the water don't sink, so yould things with their specific weight lighter then air get off the ground. And what is lighter then air? HOT AIR!
So if one would collect enough hot air, one could fly and thus the HOT-AIR balloones were born.

Needs more semicolons.

Like Icarus mankind has always relished the idea of being to soar between heaven and earth, in defiance to all laws of nature...

You know, balloons just don't hold my interest like planes. I think it's because in a balloon, you're pretty much limited to control in one dimension: you can make it go up, and you can make it go down. For everything else, you're at the mercy of the wind. I respect the fact that they led the way, though, and early balloonists had solid-steel cojones, without a doubt.

Sounds painful...
