Dear Sir/Madam,
Do accept my sincere apologies if my mail does not meet your personal Ethics. I introduce myself as Liam a staff in the accounts management Section of a well-known bank here in the United Kingdom. One of our accounts with holding balance of Ł15,000,000(Fifteen Million British Pounds) has been dormant and last operated in the past 3 years. From my investigations and confirmations, the owner of this account is a Foreigner by name Gerald Stone died on the 4th of January 2002 on a plane crash in Birmingham here in UK. Since then nobody has done anything as regards the claiming of this money as he has no family Member who is aware of the existence of either the account nor the Funds. Information from the National Immigration also states that he was single on entry into the UK. I have confidentially discussed this issue with some of the bank officials and we have agreed to find a reliable foreign partner to deal with. We thus propose to do business with you, standing in as the next of kin of these funds from the deceased and funds released to you after due processes have been followed. This transaction is totally free of risk and troubles as the fund is Legitimate and does not originate from drug, money laundry, terrorism or any other Illegal act. On your interest, let me hear from you. Warm Regards, Liam DISCLAIMER: This message contains confidential information and is intended only for Specified addressee. Here is where it gets TOTALY out of hand: At the bottom of the mail, it sais: Internet za 333 Kc/mesíc Tiscali Internet 24 hluboko pod cenami Telecomu! http://internet24.tiscali.cz now.. WHY would an english banker use a .cz mail? LOL Anyway; a quick glance at the mail-header reveals this as one of the more pathetic attempts to trick someone for money i've seen in a good while. That e-mail is actually sent by a trojan on someone else computer. My sister had got in trouble twice and the AOL people said she was online a 3:57AM on Tuesday. Why would she be up when she has school the next day? I scanned the computer she was using with a program called SpySweeper and found 3 trojans. One was called something....i think CyDoor. It hijacks a computer and sends 1000 e-mails to other people. And the other one said something like Retro_BackDoor64. Forgot what that does. And the last one was called Downloader DC-. It downloads information such as viruses on your computer. If I were you guys, scan you COMMAND.exe file because thats why they hide sometimes.

A while ago I got an e-postcard from my parents in Hawaii. They must have a teleporter or something cuz they were at home when I read it.
But seriously, silly people believe this crap. Doesn't everyone know never to relply to an e-mail you know not of. @'98: Yeah, he must have nothing better to do than make up a devious e-mail. And a lot of spare time. |
well, quite plainly, there haven;t been any plane crashes over in birmingham. I'd tend to know. Half an hours drive.
Oh, and yeah, when they wanted that 'bout my 'credit card' |
