I've come across a real goldmine! :Brain:
This site has step-by-step instructions for getting older Windows games to work on XP systems. I've never been able to get Zork Nemesis or Atlantis: The Lost Tales to work on my laptop, for example. But this site not only tells you how to do it, but also provides all the patches to get the game working, whether the problem is graphic card incompatibility or the DVD drive not recognising the CD. And the site owner is wonderul, too, as one link to an Altantis patch didn't work, and after I emailed her she sent out the patch immediately. |
That's wonderful :Brain:

Hehe...thanks for joining the rapture :)

Very nice, unfortunately it doesn't help me... I have 3 games I can't run under WinXP Atlantis the Lost Tales - DVD version (they only have the patch for the CD version), Power Chess and Allied General... So I guess I'll have to keep the dual-boot system.

I actually came across this one when I was reviewing DarkSeed. It had some tips on how to get it to work properly. It still remained quite a hassle to get the game to run properly :( Nice link though, Wendy :ok:

Cool. I'm gonna try this one out for Bad Mojo :)

Maybe now I can get me Gabriel Knight 1 to work properly without DOSBOX. Yey! I will use it to take over the world, muhahahahahahaha!! You will all have to pay me to get your XP games working, then you'll have to pay get your games working taxes! Wahahahahaha!
