NightHunter

Okay, this is a DOS game. It's a side scroller and you played the character of Dracula (I think it was Dracula, it may have been just another vampire). You could turn into a bat to fly over obstacles and you could suck blood. I also recall some vampire hunters who would throw stakes at you.

That all I can remember. Does anyone know the name of this game? And do you think it might be possible for AB to host it (I realise this is kind of a stupid question without knowing the name or the publisher, but hopefully somebody else knows :))?

Might be "Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain" or "Dracula"

It's not Blood Omen, that's for sure. This is a true side scroller. What's this Dracula game you're talking about? Do you have a linky, maybe?

Nikson 21-10-2005 03:50 PM

I'm afraid I dont have a link.
I know there is a game called Dracula, which was a top-down side scroller kind of like GTA1 and Postal... but was a rather crappy game.

A google search yielded only:
Dracula: The last sanctuary (which is new)
Dracula Ressurection (also new, but the sequel of...)
...Bram Stoker's Dracula (old, but I couldn't even find any screenshots)

It's none of those I'm afraid. Oh well, I guess there's nothing to be done about it. Thanks for trying, at least. :)

Edit: Hey, what do you know. After playing around with mobygames, I managed to narrow down a number of games that might be it. And I found it!

It's called Nighthunter, but unfortunately it's by Ubi Soft, which means no go. :(

It's 1988, damn it. And they still can't distrubute it for free...
Makes me mad... :ranting:

Uhm... They can distribute it for free. They just wish not to do so. And it is their wish. Let's respect that.

Trying to force up a game against the will of the producers is like having your mom show off baby-photos off you to every passing stranger she meets. Personally, I wouldn't like that, and I would've told her to stop it immediately. And this is what companies like Ubi Soft are doing. They just pay ESA to do the actual work for them.

I rate that analogy 9.6 out of 10

Ubisoft is making bucks from games like "Splinter Cell" now, I hardly think they would mind distributing a game they made 2 decades ago. I mean jeeez - they make a million times more money from the new games. It is stupid that you cant download this game for free if you ask me.

Then you simply have no respect for people's wishes, and there's nothing more to say about that.
