I have a in-game video of ignition and it's about 51.5mb and it's about 30 secconds long. I was wondering how to convert it into a ram file which is used for online streaming. I know there are programs out there but I have a administration block so if somebody could kindly do it for me, that would be greatly appreciated.

51.5mb? wow... what did you record that with? Thats either very good quality or... now even dvds have that much detail for the amount of time.. thats, like, 6gig per hour..

You might want to try using the Windows Media Encoder to encode it into wmv. I know thats not the best format, but I find it better than rm files. You should be able to get the file size down to a couple of megs.

edit: I just read that you can't install programs. Hmm well I think 51MB is a bit much for me to download right now. Someone else should be able to help you out :).

I'm on 56k so I'm not gonna try to download that. But you could help whoever will download it by using Movie Maker to encode and compress it a bit more (to about 5MB).

Downloading at 256kbs. Ill help find out to make it smaller. :ok:

EDIT: Make that 272kbs. :w00t: All right now it's done. Tried it, i can't watch it. All i hear is sound but im trying to use a movie player....hold on.

EDIT 2: Well, i did install i video converter, too bad it doesn't work...

I have a feeling he made it with Fraps, which takes bitmap screenshots every <insert choice here> miliseconds, and slaps them together into an avi file. This format is called RAW, and strangely enough, most people need to install Fraps to view it.

If Bradley didn't use Fraps, please disregard this post :P
