Hello

I just downloaded a game for the first time off this site, which was, blood.

Now, I loaded it up and tried to play it. It was running horrendously, like slow motion. And the wierdest part is, when ever I would shoot my gun or an enemy would come on screen, it would speed back up.
I decided I would see of the NOLFB patch would work, it made the game prettier, but it ran just as crappy.

Anyone have an idea of what to do? It makes it pretty impossible to play the game with out frustrating me beyond belief.

Also, I'm using windows XP and my computer has more than enough horsepower needed to run the game.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

I was going to recommend laying off the fried foods, but then I realized you were asking about a game.

(No, I have no advice, just a stupid joke.)

Try running the game with out DosBox. Or try speeding up the cycles..try maybe..15000 or 20000...post the specs.

15000 or 20000 cycles is way too much. Most games can run very smootly with a setting between 5000 and 10000. And remember this is very computer dependant, so posting cycles is next to pointless anyway.

He did not say that he is using DOSBox, so that's what I'd suggest to try. And play with the cycles a bit to see if it make a difference.

There is no such thing as "too many cycles" for blood, since the game isn't so old as to not have a fps limiter.
But yes, if you're using DosBox, stop! :P
If you're running it in pure XP... weird

So... should I run Dosbox or not? I'm a bit confused here.
Also, how do I change the cycles?

My specs...

2400 AMD
128 MB ATI Radeon 9200
512 MB RAM
300 GB harddrive with 95% empty space...
Windows XP

I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

I downloaded cli2nop and nothing new happened.
It's still running crappy.

Also, how do I change cycles like some other were saying?

Nevermind, I did it.

It's working perfectly now.

Thanks!
