Lightspeed

I've got the old 3.5 Floppies but they've cashed out. Anyone know where I can get these?

On Home Of The Underdogs, they write that it's not abandonware yet. It looks like they once had it available for download though, so it could be out there on the web somewhere.

Does anyone have this game (also known as Hyperspeed)

GraveDigger 25-02-2005 05:37 PM

I am quite sure that both the titles, which I just checked to comfirm are exactly the same game with two different titles, are abandonware and I don't mind dumping them somewhere for you if you PM me that somewhere's details or your email addy.

And yes, I'm doing this as a return favour for the information you've provided. :ok:

First, they're not the same title. Lightspeed appeared first, with two scenarios. Hyperspeed showed up later, with the original two, and two more. I still have them in the original boxes.

Second, they're not abandonware. The original designer, Andy Hollis, has copyrighted them as an ESA member.

They are both on HotU, Microprose, listed as ESA, non downable.
But as HotU isn't updated in years .... doesn't say much.

There is also a Lightspeed game from 2003, but I don't think that's the one you're looking for....

They should be both abandonware:
Lightspeed is sold out at Amazon
Hyperspeed is sold at Amazon for 169$ (1copy), don't think we can consider it a reliable link btw.

Sanobone 17-08-2008 12:20 AM

Yeah the games I'm talking about play well on the 386 computers back in the day. An David is right the copies that they sell are uber expensive!! I actually own the game however its been so long that the game floopys are no longer readable. ={ O wells maybe some one will have it one day.

Geezer 17-08-2008 01:55 AM

I can probably hook you up with both.
