Hey, ok, recently I have been trying to find good movies that I haven't seen before, that are good, and not toally, "inapropriate". I failed. Evil Dead had a little bit of nudity (not ok with parents, though I'l probabally try renting the second one), Pulp Fiction had super language ("Royal with cheese..." Samuel Jackson was awesome tho, affro for life!) and Dawn of the Dead was just a tiny bit gorry for my taste (although I'l probly watch it at a friends house anyways). So, does anybody know of any good movies that aren't too "inapropriate" that I should watch? I've pretty much seen all the PG-13 ones...

Waking Life if you like Philosophy. Run Lola Run has a bit of language, but other than that, top notch plot and presentation. Donnie Darko also has some stronger language... jeez, your limitations don't exactly make it easy....

Dumbo? :P

That, and if you haven't seen Nightmare Before Christmas yet, well it may be the movie for you.

Some good choices. Nice list, I would never have the patience to sit down and type 'em all out.

Blood-Pigggy 29-11-2005 12:41 AM

I was looking at my DVD collection and skipping over the ones that I knew were a bit racy.

I can list several more if he wishes so.

Ohhh, thoose sound good Piggy, tank you! I've seen quite a few of them, but there are some good ones.

@Midget: Run Lo|a Run was ok I guess (we watched it in German) when I say no language, I mean not a lot of it if possible, stuff like that is ok, just not like Pulp Fiction where they say the F word every fifteen seconds...

@Void: I  nightmare before Christmas!

Further @Piggy: I definitely need to see the Green Mile, I  the book, and so far, at least from the book, it doesn't sound that bad, except for the bad death iof Edward Delicroi and language, I' pretty sure its not too bad :)

I don't understand, this seriously is one of the greatest movies of all time.

TheGiantMidgit 29-11-2005 02:39 AM

Maybe you'd like The Cup, but, judging from the tastes you demonstrated in what you like in BP's list, I doubt it.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, perhap.

or Yellow Submarine if you're feeling like some music. Same with The Wall, or Quadrophenia. ...or just Spinal Tap, if you like laughs with your rock and roll.

as for Run Lola Run being in German, I don't believe there's an alternative.

Three Kings is certainly worth a watch.

As is Tears of the Sun.
