when I start Blood (using DOSbox) it goes through the monoloth screen, then the Blood symbol/title comes up, the sound keeps going normal but it stays at the screen, do I have to press a certain key or what?

You could try this. It's somewhere in this forum, use the search function (without any date) and you'll find a lot of threads about this.
