Mmm... this seems to be hard to get to run in DosBOX. The DosBOX site claims it was allready supported in version 0.62 however. I was unable to get it to run there unfortunately. I didn't fiddle with any settings yet, but if someone manages to get it to run in DB, please let us know :ok:

I tried it under real DOS. Itīs a great colourful arcade-shooter for its time (1989). Only a few games of this time have VGA-graphics. Therefore the EGA-graphics are ok.

Wait, isn't this Flying Shark?
|
Actually, it seems to run fine on Windows XP.

Good, at least I am not crazy.
It is a very good top down shoot em up of the days old (or something). It is not exactly easy game, but it is fair. I haven't played the DOS version but the Amstrad CPC 6128 version and the Atari ST were first class. The graphics very detailed, loved how you could destroy the turret off a tank but the tank still survive, the boss battles were fun, especialy against the ships, and the whole game is a class above most of the similar games of the period. I give it a 4 easily (out of 5). |
Wow! I remember this game from a long time ago. Although I remember it being called 'SkyShark'.
Unforunately for me, its a drastic case of you've played one you've played them all. Not a fan of these kind of games. |

Anyway, it looks like a cute little game, that I could probably spend an hour or two with, even if GameBringer didn't really like it. :) |
I just played the DOS version. Oh my, it is crap. 2/5 is too good for this, 1.5 more likely.
Seriously, try the Amstrad CPC version or the ST version, MUCH MUCH better. |
